So, this video took me awhile from a lull of laziness, but I stepped up the theatric effect with spritzy lighting to give it a dramatic and unique feel to match the tone of investigative journalism! What do y’all think? Otherwise, I know I gotta produce these more frequently, but I am juggling between being bite-sized and digestible and sacrificing full analysis and information or very dense but unwatchable and not enjoyable. That’s why I am trying to stick to the 10 minute time frame. Want them longer? Let me know!

In this video we will excavate everything we know about her, and answer if she is the future of Twitch and Vtubing Streaming. Chapter 1: In The Beginning There Was Miko

One of the writers at Ginx, Andres states that Code Miko that which Miko the Technician operates is powered by a thirty-thousand-dollar Xsense suit utilizing the Unreal Engine software.[i] Owning and operating this suit is no joke with that pricetag, but Miko is not some ordinary streamer who just bought this suit put it on and is growing exponentially now. She also got a discount buying it at thirteen thousand five hundred dollars as revealed by Mika Fabella from One E-Sports. He also states that Miko’s background is in research and development and she took her experience from that in live animation to create Miko.[ii]

Really quick, if you’re getting value and enjoying this video smash like and leave me a comment cause I respond to all of them and it helps the channel out more than you think.

Everything you see in a CodeMiko stream is engineered, rigged, created by her. There is no outsourcing or insourcing or resourcing. If you have seen a stream by her, you know she has created this interactive adventure for her users where you can apply big boobs or exploding bodies, and other insanity just by interacting with the stream. It is quite impressive really. If you have never seen a stream by her you may or may not remember a certain show from the early 2000s called Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. This was a interview talk show with Space Ghost reimagined from his Hanna Barbara cartoon hero self and super implanted as a talk show host interviewing real people with hijinx regularly occurring for the viewer to watch.

Codemiko is a spiritual successor as the Technician mocaps Codemiko and interviews guests with the same kind of hijinx. Watching her streams you will hear numerous times she envisions a even more interactive future for her and her fans that doesn’t rely so much on the interviewing, but more of an interactive RPG videogame as even stated in an interview with Cale Michael.[iii]

Chapter 2: Recent Controversies

Miko isn’t without her controversies that have even led to temporary bans. In the same interview with Cale Michael, she admits that the reason for her latest ban was unknowingly revealing someone’s information when discussing online harassment. Stating:

“. . .At this particular moment, we were talking about female harassment online and I asked her what was like the worst comment she had ever received. When I saw the email, it was pretty bad and was more like a threat than a comment. From my experience, threats are almost never from a user’s actual email address, but when I threw up the screenshot, that is basically what got me banned. I violated terms [of service] around privacy.”[iv]

Because Miko is a saucy girl she has found herself in trouble another two times for revealing too much skin exposing the vaginal area in a costume – calm down horn dogs, Miko was revealing too much skin not Technician you sick degenerate, putrid, scum of the. . . actually I’d clap those cheeks too! And another time was for getting send D pics on her virtual character, again, not of the penial variety, actual letter Ds in different sizes and shapes, but Twitch didn’t like the double entendre and banned her a second time.[v]

Chapter 3: The Future Of Twitch?

Now then! Let’s add this all together and speculate on the future with everything we now and know and the crash course that is Codemiko. Miko purchased at a huge discount an Xsense suit for her motion capture adventures. She hails from a background with great familiarity in animation and research. Built Miko from the ground up and continues to add and expand to the experiment and is showing no signs of slowing down. Is this the future? Not even close. Yuna is a unique specimen that was able to bring together all her skills in a unique way and parlay it into something totally unique and that ubiquitous originality is what has attracted her such a large base so quickly, because it is so original. It would be hard to imagine that anyone else would have the skills – although not impossible obviously, not cheap either – and also have the same powerful burst to push through to shattering success again. It’s like lightning, doesn’t strike twice in the same spot very often. I don’t see it being the advanced future of Vtubing, other companies will still handle their stars with that, but I also don’t see her project as the apocalypse of media streaming. Her getting banned several times for failed Twitch policies sure, but as a project; Project Codemiko is a huge success, doesn’t come close to being apocalyptic in ending what streams are and actually shows us what’s possible for interaction on the most hated and loved streaming platform of our time; Twitch.

Oh yeah, we were going to reveal Miko’s name. Right? Well it’s Yuna. As mentioned here.

Now you got what you wanted so how about a proverbial reach around and a subscribe back with accompanying bell smash?

…That’s Miko, but you’re going to wanna watch my Cyberpunk 2077 video to the left, it’s pretty epic if I may say so myself. Thanks for watching and I will see you in that video.
